Privacy policy
Monolith Media is a one-person real estate photography and video business in Toronto, Ontario, run by Marcus Goencz. This page explains, in plain language, what personal information I collect, why I collect it, who I share it with, and what you can ask me to do with it.
What I collect
- Contact details from agents and clients: your name, email address and phone number.
- Listing details: the property address and the services you book.
- Booking details you enter when you book through Acuity Scheduling, such as the date, the services and access notes for the property (for example, lockbox or entry instructions).
- Billing details needed for an invoice, such as your name, email, the property and the amount.
- Website statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to this site (pages viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, country) without cookies. When you click a "Book" button, the site counts the click: which button, device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), country and the page you came from. It does not use cookies and does not store your IP address or full browser details.
This website does not set any cookies of its own. The booking form on the Appointments page is provided by Acuity Scheduling and is covered by Acuity's own privacy policy; it may use its own cookies.
Why I use it
- To schedule and confirm shoots, get into the property and do the shoot.
- To deliver your photos, video, 3D tours and floor plans.
- To send invoices through QuickBooks and keep business and tax records.
- To answer your questions and send occasional follow-ups, such as a reminder or a request for a review.
If you give me a testimonial or review, I may show it on this site with your name and role.
Photos and videos from past shoots may appear in my portfolio. If you'd like a property removed, email me.
I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it for advertising.
Who I share it with
Only with service providers that help me run the business, and only for the purposes above:
- Acuity Scheduling, for booking
- Fotello, for photo and video delivery
- iGUIDE, for 3D tours and floor plans
- QuickBooks, for invoicing
- Google, for email and calendar
- Cloudflare, for website hosting and analytics
Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. I may also share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep booking and contact details for 2 years after your last shoot. I keep invoices and business records for as long as Canadian tax law requires.
Photo and video files are stored and backed up for 60 days after delivery, then deleted, so please download your files within that window.
Emails from me
To stop follow-up emails, reply "unsubscribe" to any email from me. I'll still send messages you need for a shoot you've booked, such as confirmations and invoices.
See, correct or delete your information
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email [email protected] and I'll reply within 30 days. I may need to keep some records, such as invoices, where the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
I use established service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss and unauthorized access.
